The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University is accredited by the AACSB--The International Association for Management Education, which is the premier accrediting agency for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs in business administration and accounting. AACSB International is the professional organization for management education. The Rawls College of Business first achieved undergraduate accreditation in 1958, masters degree accreditation in 1981, and special accounting accreditation in 1982, and has held these accreditations continuously to the present. In addition, the Health Organization Management program, which is jointly taught and administered with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, is one of very few schools with dual accreditation of both AACSB International and ACHESA, The Accrediting Commission on Education for Health Services Administration. The Rawls College of Business is also under university-wide accreditation with The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), one of six regional accrediting agencies recognized by the Department of Education.
